Partnership of Willem Willemstien and Chris van der Velde,  owners of the Tetherow Golf Club, made a significant investment into the surrounding community with a recent acquisition of 58 custom home sites within Tetherow’s “Glen” neighborhood. These custom home sites were purchased from Proterra Bend 1, LLC by Tetherow Glen 58, LLC, a division of Velocity US Properties Inc.

Velocity US Properties Inc., is headed by the same joint venture partnership of Willem Willemstein and Bend-based Chris van der Velde who acquired Tetherow Golf Club back in March 2009.

“We are extremely pleased to finalize the acquisition of these special custom properties,” stated van der Velde. “These lots are some of the most private custom homesites within Tetherow. We plan on getting to work very quickly to build three northwest urban style homes that should be available by spring of 2011. “

Since 2007, the Netherlands-based Velocity Capital Group has made several investments in US real estate, especially in Oregon. Van der Velde, a Central Oregon resident and dual citizen of The Netherlands and the United States, is one of the Velocity Capital Group’s directors. Before getting into the development business van der Velde was a highly accomplished professional golfer and instructor. He was an exempt member of the European Tour (from 1989 through 1993 and 1998) and is also a class A PGA Member of both the British P.G.A. and the P.G.A of America.

The custom home sites within the Glen neighborhood are premium 1/3 acre lots featuring Ponderosa wooded lots or stunning golf course views. The afore mentioned custom homes being developed will be constructed in concert with the Earth Advantage Community Certification Program created to certify sustainable development while enhancing the natural systems on and around the community.

The model homes will include three to four bedroom floor plans designed with “Northwest urban-inspired” architectural features, including creative uses of natural materials, and integration of improvements that protect the integrity of the landscape and surrounding community. Custom home pricing within the Glen neighborhood will range from $500,000 to $795,000.
