Cash & Carry Smart Foodservice, whose warehouse-format stores have served the foodservice industry for more than 50 years, opened its newest store in Bend.

Located at 1500 NE Third Street, the new 20,000 square-foot site replaces an 18,000 square-foot store that Cash & Carry has operated on Nels Anderson Road since 1975.  Formerly home to McMahan’s Furniture Store, the new location provides Cash & Carry a new, modern facility with greatly improved visibility and access, which store manager Barbara Sanseri is confident will bring expanded traffic and sales.

The new store also gives Cash & Carry expanded space for perishables such as fresh meat and produce.  The store will carry more than 13,000 products including beverages, bakery items, catering supplies, cheese, dairy and deli products, fresh meat, fresh produce, frozen foods, grocery products, janitorial supplies, tableware and barware.

Portland, Oregon-based Cash & Carry operates more than 50 warehouse stores in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, and California.  Cash & Carry is the foodservice division of Smart & Final Stores, LLC, which operates more than 280 retail stores under the banners Smart & Final, Smart & Final Extra!, Cash & Carry Smart Foodservice, Henry’s Farmers Markets and Sun Harvest Markets.
