She is a past president of the board of directors of the Deschutes United Way and was the campaign chair for the United Way’s fiftieth anniversary and its first million dollar successful campaign. He recently received recognition from the OSU Austin Family Business program as one of the top family-owned businesses in Oregon. He is a board member of the Advertising Federation of Central Oregon. Marcee Hillman is the Production Director responsible for CPI’s publications including Cascade Business News, the Rotary Fall and Winter Sports Programs, the COBE Directory and the Central Oregon Wedding Planning Guide as well as maintains the Book of Lists database and the Cascade Business News website. She has over 17 years experience in the production and design fields including a Bachelor of Arts in advertising/graphic design from Collins College and computer operations, art and media education from Arizona State and DeVry universities. She relocated to Central Oregon recently after living in many areas around the country including Cody, Wyoming; Baton Rouge, Louisiana and West Palm, Florida. Marcee enjoys the outdoor activities Central Oregon offers including riding horses, camping, snowmobiling and best of all loves doing these things with her daughter.
Renee came to Cascade Publications in January of 2011 after many years of travel and outdoor adventure. After graduating from Bradley University with a degree in advertising and graphic design, she joined the Peace Corps and worked as a health and education volunteer in a remote village of Burkina Faso, West Africa. Even though she enjoyed living without computers, running water or electricity for two years, Renee decided to return to the design industry and pursue a graduate degree in Museum Exhibition Design at the University of London. At the completion of her studies, she moved across the world to Portland, Oregon. A thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail in 2006 shifted Renee’s career focus to the outdoor industry, and she found herself in a variety of positions including leading trail crews in Colorado, guiding hikes around Oregon and working with a local Wilderness Therapy organization, Second Nature. Renee has decided to officially enjoy the outdoors on her own terms and time off, and returned to the design industry as Art Director at Cascade Publications. She is on the board of directors for Art in the High Desert, a member of the Tower Theatre's Advisory Board, and on the marketing committee of the Arts & Culture Alliance.
