Steve Welbourn, general manager of Alliance Storage, LLC, Commercial and Residential Storage.

How has your business been impacted by the economic downturn?

Our business has felt the economic downturn like many Central Oregon companies. We have lost a few clients due to their economic losses. However we have gained larger clients when they have downsized to our type of storage. For residential, we have served many families with respect during their foreclosure process.

How have you reinvented yourselves to stay in business?

We have not had to reinvent ourselves to sustain the current economy. We continue to provide the highest quality of customer service. We listen carefully to our customers needs so that we may recommend what will work best for them. We will not sell the customer a unit just to raise our revenue. We want them to remain satisfied that their experience at Alliance has went beyond there level of need.

What are your goals going forward in our present economic climate?

I think with any business to be successful you must have goals. We will continue to work smarter and harder to provide the best service for our valued clients. We continue to update our site with some of the newest electronics available to ensure our customers security and safety. We will continue to have a resident manager onsite to serve your needs.

What have been the keys to your continued success?

For 25 years we have been locally owned and operated. When people need storage they are often in some type of crisis. As a trained Chaplain, I try very hard to listen and match their needs. We maintain our facility to the highest level of standards. We provide a friendly atmosphere in the office so our customers feel like family. Whatever your storage task may be our staff will hard to solve your needs.
