Partners In Care has become the newest pilot site for the Sacred Art of Living Center’s international network.

Partners In Care is a 30-year old organization providing home health, palliative home health, transitions, home hospice and Hospice House services for central Oregonians.

Headquartered in Bend, the Sacred Art of Living Center conducts seminars and study groups among healthcare organizations designed to give healthcare staff members a deeper understanding of their roles as caregivers, particularly in end-of-life care.

The Sacred Art of Living organization has similar affiliations with several communities across the United States and in Europe, Australia, and Asia.

As a pilot site, Partners In Care staff will begin an internal learning process designed for all its caregivers and support staff which will continue over the next two years. This process has proven to benefit not only staff but increased patient and family satisfaction with services offered.

“Our care model encompasses working with patients and families as they deal with restorative care as well as those either approaching or who are at the end of their lives,” said Partners In Care CEO Eric Alexander.  “We feel this commitment will deepen the understanding of our role in the healthcare spectrum and will be highly beneficial to the patients and the families we serve as well as our individual staff members, volunteers, board and others on our team.”

“Our partnership with the Sacred Art Of Living is a natural one since it was founded in Bend and grew out of founder Richard Groves’ association with the former Bend –La Pine Hospice which was one of the predecessor organizations to Partners In Care,” Alexander said.
