The Education Foundation for Bend-La Pine Schools announce the 4th annual Chili Cook-Off presented by Ace Hardware. This year, many of Central Oregon’s best restaurants and their chefs will compete with delectable creations in a Chili Cook-Off competition to be held Sunday, January 29 from 2-6pm at the Athletic Club of Bend. All proceeds will benefit the Foundation’s Activity Fee Scholarship Fund, which provides financial aid to youth in need so that they may partake in after-school sport programs.

Store owners, Robert and Marcie Mitchell conveyed, “Ace Hardware is proud to support the Education Foundation for Bend-La Pine Schools. As a locally owned business, we feel it is important to support our schools and the programs of the Education Foundation benefit our entire community.”

The public is invited to savor delicious recipes while teams battle for bragging rights to the “People’s Choice” and “Judge’s Choice” awards based on the following categories: traditional, spicy and most creative.

Tickets for the Chili Cook-Off will be sold at the door: $10 – ages 12 & over, $5 – ages 6-11, FREE – ages 5 & under.
