When Prineville resident Rease Endicott was asked if he had plans for his $4.4 million Megabucks jackpot prize, his answer was clear and concise, “Yep,” and that was it.

Endicott became the Oregon Lottery’s 233rd Megabucks millionaire after matching all six numbers in the May 9, drawing. He purchased a $1 Quick Pick ticket at Lamonta Roadhouse, in Prineville. The winning ticket contained two sets of numbers, and Endicott won his big prize in the second set. The winning numbers were 10-14-16-25-42-47. Endicott’s winning ticket was one of 5,971 winning tickets in the May 9, drawing.

Endicott chose the Cash Payment plan when claiming his prize. He received a one-time payment in the amount of $1,474,000 after state and federal taxes were with held. In addition to being the 233rd Megabucks millionaire, Endicott is the 292nd Oregon Lottery millionaire.

Endicott was out with friends the day after the drawing, and said that he wasn’t sure if he was going to continue playing Megabucks. His server said that Prineville had just had a Megabucks jackpot winner in the previous night’s drawing.

Endicott had a few Megabucks tickets with him, and gave them to the server to check. One ticket indicated that Endicott would have to bring it to the Lottery office in Salem. A printout of the winning numbers, and comparison to his ticket, showed that Endicott was indeed the $4.4 million winner.

Endicott is the fifth Megabucks jackpot winner in 2012. Megabucks jackpot winners, in total, have already won $34.3 million in prizes in 2012. Overall, Oregon Lottery Megabucks players have won more than $760 million in prizes since the first drawing was held in 1985.

The Lottery recommends that you always sign the back of your tickets with each Oregon Lottery game you play, to help ensure you can claim any prize you may win.

Since the Oregon Lottery began selling tickets on April 25, 1985, it has earned over $7 billion for economic development, public education, state parks and watershed enhancements. In that same period, it has paid its players more than $20 billion in prizes.
