The organizations are looking for Clean Energy Service AmeriCorps crew members to work on weatherization and construction sites alongside Habitat for Humanity crew leaders and volunteers. If you’re 18-24 years old and are looking for training in construction and clean energy job skills while working toward your education goals, then this is the opportunity for you. Deadline is June 20, 2012.

Program participants earn a bi-weekly living allowance of $500. Upon completion of the 6month program and 900 hours of service to the community, members earn an additional $2,775 AmeriCorps Education Award that can be used for post-secondary education.

Crew members will work 4-5 days per week, approximately 7 hours per day, on a Bend Area Habitat for Humanity construction site and will also spend time pursuing individual education goals, including College prep, College credit classes, or GED completion. We will work with you to set up a schedule that helps you complete your goals and gain the highest level of job training possible! The goal is that once members have completed the 6 month program, they have earned wages, gained training and an industry recognized certification, and are ready to become employed full-time or continue furthering their education.

Applications are available at www.bendhabitat.org, or you can pick one up at Heart of Oregon Corps at 1291 NE Fifth St. in Bend (located in the portable buildings at Marshal High School). Applications along with resumes should be submitted to Bend Area Habitat for Humanity at:

1860 NE 4th Street Bend, Oregon 97701 by fax to: 541-383-1789
