Open House to Discuss Improvements at Mt. Bachelor

An open house will be held next week, June 26, to discuss the Forest Service’s environmental analysis of suggested improvements to Mt. Bachelor.

On Tuesday, June 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. the Deschutes National Forest and Mt. Bachelor officials will host a public open house to display and discuss Mt. Bachelor’s Master Development Plan and the Forest Service’s environmental analysis of the plan. The open house will be at the Deschutes National Forest’s new Bend Pine Office, at 63095 Deschutes Market Road, Bend.

Mt. Bachelor’s Master Development Plan will guide improvements to the ski resort for the next 10 years.

The Forest is currently accepting public comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Mt. Bachelor Master Development Plan.

The Draft EIS is available on the Deschutes and Ochoco National Forests website: http://www.fs.usda.gov/land/centraloregon/landmanagement or
