Long-time Central Oregon resident and business leader Ryan Patrick has been selected to lead Cascade Bancorp’s board of directors into a new era of revitalization and growth. Patrick, who has served as a board director since 1998, is a partner in the certified public accounting firm, Patrick Casey & Co, LLP and an active member of the local community.

“Ryan represents everything we stand for as a community bank,” said Terry Zink, President and Chief Executive Officer for Cascade Bancorp. “He is a local businessman with exceptional financial expertise and a deep rooted commitment to this community.”

Throughout his directorship with Cascade Bancorp, Patrick has served as chair of the audit and trust committees, and as trustee of the company’s 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan. Born and raised in Redmond, Oregon, Patrick and his three brothers, own Cent Wise Hardware and Sporting Goods, a business his family has operated since 1948. He is also a former board director of St. Charles Health System.

According to Zink, Patrick was a valued advocate in the Bank’s successful capital raise, and has now shifted his focus to strategic growth of the company.

“Bank of the Cascades has worked through some very difficult economic times,” said Patrick. “Our loyal customers, incredible employees and committed investors have given us the opportunity to continue to provide the best in community banking.”

Patrick’s appointment follows the retirement of Dr. Gary Hoffman, who held the board chairman position for the last seven years of his 28-year directorship with Cascade Bancorp.

“I’m looking forward to the work we have ahead of us,” Patrick added. “We’re exploring new directions and discovering innovative ways to serve our customers, employees and communities.  The other important focus for us will be to enhance the value we offer to our shareholders. As a local business owner and Central Oregonian, it’s an honor to be a part of that.”
