Thank you for supporting Deschutes Children’s Foundation!

Local nonprofit Deschutes Children’s Foundation will be the beneficiaries of the Chip in Fore Kids Golf Tournament. The tournament will take place on October 8 at Bend Golf and Country Club.

There are still spots available for golfers who would like to play in the tournament. Cost ranges from $150 for individuals to $500 for a foursome.

“Bend Golf and Country Club’s generosity is truly meaningful. Their timely gift comes when our centers are seeing increased traffic with the new school year starting,” says Deschutes Children’s Foundation Executive Director, Kim McNamer. “Their support will help us as we work to keep our centers rent-free for our partners, allowing them to help as many children and families as possible.”

With 27 nonprofit partners expected to assist 21,000 children and families at Deschutes Children’s Foundation’s four centers this year, gifts like Bend Golf and Country Club’s only serve to create more opportunities for available community services.

“We knew that donating the course for Deschutes Children’s Foundation’s use would allow them to impact more children and families in our community,” said Erik Nielsen, head PGA Professional at Bend Golf and Country Club. “These are challenging times, and we are privileged that our club can make a difference in our community right now.”

The Chip in Fore Kids Golf Tournament is a charity tournament with golfers of all skill levels expected to participate. The tournament is a scramble format featuring hole-in-one shoot outs and other games.

Chip in Fore Kids is sponsored in part by the Brewer/Harding Group at Morgan Stanley, Albertson’s, BBT Architects, Deschutes Brewery, Cascade Business News, KBNW and KQAK. For more information, visit www.deschuteschildrensfoundation.org.

About Deschutes Children’s Foundation
Deschutes Children’s Foundation manages and maintains four nonprofit centers (called community campuses) in Bend, Redmond and La Pine, and donates the office space on the campuses to independent nonprofit and government agencies that directly serve children and families. This brings a collaborative mix of nonprofits together, makes it easier for children and families to access the services they need, and reduces the overhead costs for resident programs. This means more services are readily available to the children and families of Deschutes County.
