Rep. Greg Walden, Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Communications and Technology, will hold a cybersecurity workshop in Bend so citizens and small businesses can learn about rising cyber threats, how they can help protect themselves against cyber theft of their personal information and assets, and what Rep. Walden is doing in Washington, D.C., to combat this growing problem while protecting privacy and without harming businesses or the economy.

Rep. Walden has invited nationally-recognized cybersecurity expert Bill Conner, CEO of Entrust, to discuss recent trends in cyber threats with Oregon’s small business leaders and to discuss ways of combating current and emerging cyber threats. Rep. Walden will also give an update on recent cybersecurity legislation in Congress, and hear input from Central Oregon businesses about what more could be done to combat this growing threat.

For more information or to RSVP, call Nick Strader in Rep. Walden’s Central Oregon office at 541-389-4408 or email him at nick.strader@mail.house.gov.
