Facebook to Announce $182,000 Donation to Crook County High School and Crook County Foundation

Facebook will announce its donation of $182,000 to two Crook County organizations in order to further the community’s technological and economic development.

The announcement will be made by Rocky Miner, (Crook County High School principal), Kristi Steber (Crook County Foundation), Joshua Crass (Facebook Prineville Data Center manager), Ristine Williams (Facebook Prineville site coordinator), Shad Bennight and Nathaniel Stevenson (Crook County High School seniors & Facebook Prineville Data Center 2012 summer interns) at 9am on Wednesday, February 20 at Crook Country High School.

Crook County High School will receive $100,000 to support the school’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education. The Crook County Foundation will receive $82,000 for support including an economic development study, focusing on increasing revenue through event tourism.
