As the only new car dealership in Prineville,  Robberson Ford is a vital link for farmers, ranchers and business owners in the area.

In the wake of the great recession, many towns across America were hit hard with unemployment, foreclosures, and boards going up on companies. Prineville was no different and in many ways worse than most communities in Oregon. As the country crawls back out of the economic hole, Robberson Ford stands tall in Prineville still.

Robberson Ford of Prineville celebrates their 10-year anniversary this month. Ten years of ups, downs, sideways, forward and just holding on is how you can reflect on the last ten years in Prineville.

Robberson Ford originally opened up in 1958 in Bend as Gordon Robberson moved his family from Seattle to start the dealership in the small town of Bend. Gordon and his son, Jeff, 10 years ago, both saw good opportunity in Prineville to have a satellite store to serve the community. Jeff, now sole owner of the dealership, still believes that Prineville has lots of potential. “Prineville is a welcoming community, they welcomed us with open arms and have remained very loyal customers for the past ten years.”

As the only new car dealership in Prineville, it is a vital link for farmers, ranchers, and business owners many miles away to the east and north that would have to drive all the way to Bend to get their Ford’s serviced. “Servicing our customer base is a big part of our business in Prineville,” says Robberson. “With a full service dealership to work on all makes and models, well that is what the community needs too.”

Ford has been riding high lately with great reviews on their new lineup of cars and small SUV’s. From safety awards, fuel efficiency leadership, incredible technology advancements to keeping the excitement of driving in the car, Ford is really hitting a home run with their vehicles. Compound a great vehicle with not taking bailout money from the government, has really depended peoples consideration of driving a Ford.

The diversity between cars and trucks is really making Ford stand out in the consumers mind. Award winning vehicles like the Fusion, Focus, and Escape are trouncing the competition with fuel mileage and technology. Couple that with the F-Series truck that has been the best selling truck in America for 36 years in a row, you can see why Robberson Ford has been successful in Central Oregon and right here at home in Prineville.

“The letters, comments and handshakes over the last four to five years from people that have moved to Ford has just been awesome, I am proud to be a Ford dealer,” said Robberson on the bailout and Ford products today.

Giving back to the community has always been a cornerstone of Robberson Ford and Prineville has seen no different approach. You will see a Robberson Ford logo or name dotted on numerous non-profits, events and community activities. They have sponsored and donated every single year, even when the economy was horrible, they stayed strong to their commitment to the community.

Prineville has seen some new changes with the Facebook and Apple data centers moving in, but one thing will be certain Robberson Ford is here ready to serve the new folks moving in and taking care of their longtime customers.
