The Local Red Cross has been Particularly Busy in the Last 25 Days

Earlier this week the Red Cross responded to a disaster in the 13900 block of SW Riggs Road, Powell Butte. This Single Family House Fire displaced 2-adults. Red Cross provided assistance of food, clothing, comfort kits, and information about Health and Mental Health services.

 

Red Cross was notified on July 22, 2013 at 1730 about the Stagecoach Wildfire near Gilchrist,

First Responders contacted Red Cross to setup a shelter for the evacuation of three subdivisions that were being threatened by the fire. Volunteers from the La Pine and Bend area responded and opened the La Pine Community Center.

 

Jefferson/Deschutes County July 20 5:30PM

Disaster action team members responded to disaster that in the 12000 block of SW Wheat Grass Loop in Terrebonne. This single-family fire displaced two adults. Red Cross provided food, lodging, clothing, shoes, comfort kits, and information about disaster mental health and health services.

 

Deschutes County July 8 3:45AM

Disaster action team members responded to a disaster on the 63000 block of Crooked Rocks Road in Bend. This single-family house fire displaced two adults and two pets. Red Cross provided lodging, food, clothing, shoes, seasonal garments and comfort kits.
