Started last year to help cover medical costs of Jim’s cancer treatments, this golf tournament is hosted by River’s Edge Golf Course in Bend. Jim Duncan was a community member of Bend since 1980 and proud member both the Bend Chamber of Commerce and the Lion’s Club. Jim lost his battle with cancer in early 2013 and is survived by many loving family members in Central Oregon. This year is the first annual Memorial Tournament with proceeds going to Wendy’s Wish (http://www.wendyswish.org/Wendys_Wish/Mission.html) and Harvest of Hope (http://www.bendbulletin.com/article/20111020/FREE/310209998/), both serving cancer patients and their families.

The Duncan family wants to thank Smolich Motors for the opportunity to win a new car for a hole in one!  Shreve Jewelers, of Portland is offering a hole in one opportunity which includes a $9,000 Panori watch and Barley Beef is is offering a sample pack, 25 pounds of local organic beef which includes steak, roast and ground beef for a closest to the pin grand prize. Many other great prizes are up for grabs and a delicious BBQ meal will be enjoyed on the deck after golf!
