Fin & Fire Celebrates Grand Re-Opening

Fin and Fire has been doing business at its current location since 2010 and recently completed a major expansion, nearly doubling the shops footprint to almost 5,000 square. It’s the only full-service fly shop with a growler fill station, allowing you top off your fly box and your cooler in one stop. In addition to fly fishing, Fin and Fire is the region’s premier dealer for Traeger grills and smokers with Central Oregon’s best selection and prices on Traeger’s entire line.

The additional space has allowed Fin and Fire to expand its inventory with an extensive selection of fly rods and reels from industry leaders like Beulah, Sage, G Loomis, Bauer, Abel and many more as well as gear and apparel from Simms, Patagonia and Fishpond. They have recently added the entire line of the coveted Yeti coolers.

After seven successful years, Fin and Fire will celebrate its grand re-opening later this month with an epic customer appreciation bash that includes giveaways on fly gear, food samples, beer tasting from its 36 handle growler station, cooking demonstrations and a parking lot cornhole tournament.

Admission is free and customers will have a chance to interact with Fin and Fire staff as well as reps from some of the industry’s top names including Simms, Sage and Redington. There will be cooking demonstrations and samples prepared on Traeger grills and smokers. If you like talking fermentation, Fin and Fire will have reps on hand from some local and regional breweries to talk craft beer and plenty of samples from their 30 different beers. The hard cider and kombucha will also be flowing and they’ll have folks on hand to answer questions and hand out samples.

Among other prizes, there will have drawings for a pair of Simms G3 guide series wader (retail $450) a Redington switch and spey rods and a Traeger Junior grill (valued at $400). Customers who stop in before the re-opening bash can enter any time and again on the day of the event. However, you must be present to claim your prize.

The store will celebrate with a storewide sale including 25 percent off all discontinued items and 10 percent off everything else on the shelves (with the exception of Yeti coolers, Diablo boats and Traeger grills). Like them on Facebook and take another 5 percent off. Just bring your phone or mobile device and show them that you’re friends.

Festivities commence at 9am Saturday, September 28 at the Redmond shop, 1604 S. Hwy 97 (across from Safeway) The parking lot party will run through the afternoon to approximately 4pm or until the beer and BBQ runs dry.

If you’re a fly fishing or BBQ enthusiast and haven’t been into Fin and Fire, the grand re-opening party is a great excuse to experience the shop, which has grown from its humble beginnings in downtown Redmond to one of the Northwest’s premier fly shops and the region’s foremost authority on Traeger grills and smokers, after all, what goes better than a little alder smoke on a freshly caught Deschutes steelhead.
