0

BBT Architects in Bend has been selected to provide architectural services for Pendleton School District’s 2013 Bond Projects.

The scope of projects includes two new 60,000 square foot prototypical elementary schools to replace existing functionally inadequate buildings constructed in 1935 and 1954. BBT will also design the conversion of an existing elementary school into an Early Education Center to house full day kindergarten, pre-kindergarten areas and early childhood services, as well as upgrades to several other District facilities.

Architects will work closely with a bond oversight committee to involve the community, District staff and educators. The total budget for the projects is approximately $52 million.

The Early Education Center is scheduled to open for the 2015-16 school year, while the elementary schools and upgrades are scheduled for completion in 2016.
