Center For Economic Research & Forecasting Holds 6th Annual Business Conference in Central Oregon

The conference will release a Central Oregon 2014 economic forecast on January 30 at the Riverhouse Convention Center. Becky Johnson, vice president OSU-Cascade Campus, will be speaking on the bright future of Central Oregon’s first university. Patrick O’Keefe, Cascade Insurance, provides information on trends in the health industry. He will address What Obamacare means for Business Owners.

 
The 2014 Central Oregon Center for Economic Research and Forecasting (CERF) business conference provides a regional economic forecast and brings some of the nation’s foremost business leaders to our region to provide leading edge business information, experience and knowledge.  

 
Dr. Bill Watkins, PhD, executive director, Center for Economic Research California Lutheran University will be speaking on the US, Oregon and Central Oregon Economic Forecast. Dr. Watkins explains the 2014 trends and realities that Central Oregon and the State of Oregon will experience nad provides insight on the economic impact of political decisions, such as the Affordable Care Act. He poses such questions as Is 2014 the breakout year? What will happen in housing markets? Is oil enough? and How bad is Obamacare for the economy?
