New Kombucha Trade Association Formed

Elects Jamie Danek of Kombucha Mama of Bend, the first Kombucha brewpub in the country, to board of directors.

Kombucha Brewers International, KBI, is a newly formed trade association whose purpose is to bring together Kombucha brewers from around the world and standardize the rapidly growing Kombucha industry.

KBI met in early January in Southern California to establish administrative procedures and a plan for going forward. At the conference, it was noted that Kombucha Mama, based in Bend is the first Kombucha brewpub in the country.

Jamie Danek of Kombucha Mama was elected to the KBI board of directors. The other members represent Illinois, Texas, California and Colorado.
