Local PR and marketing firm to offer interactive diy marketing workshop to local businesses on April 9.

If You Don’t Do It, It Will Probably Never Get Done, the first in a DIY marketing workshop series for small businesses will kick-off in Sisters Country April 9 from 5:30–8:30pm at the Maida Bailey Building in Sisters at the corner of Spruce and East Main Street.

The workshop, presented by gachruda pr + m, is an in-depth sequel to DIY Marketing Workshop for Growing Your Small Business on a Shoestring Budget which was this month’s Business to Business Discussion Group Series presentation hosted by the Sister’s Chamber of Commerce.

Facilitating the workshop will be Ann Majeski and Sarah Redfield, principals of gachruda pr + m, a locally based public relations and marketing firm specializing in traditional and digital marketing for the retail, travel, food and fashion industries.

“Marketing can be enormously costly for small businesses, and there are so many great affordable DIY marketing solutions out there,” said Majeski, a longtime Central Oregon resident. Majeski brings over 20 years’ experience as a senior account manager with top Central Oregon ad agencies, managing tourism-related accounts including COVA, Pine Tavern Restaurant, Sunriver Resort, Oregon State Fair and Washington County Visitors Association.

“The workshop addresses the marketing needs of small business participants. At the top of the list is identifying what affordable DIY marketing options are the best fit and then creating a month-to-month MAP, a Marketing Action Plan that directs, motivates and supports the marketing process. Small businesses actually get it done, affordably, and see results,” added Redfield, a former Sisters merchant and a longtime area resident with 25 years’ experience in fashion retail, marketing, sales and workshop facilitation.

gachruda’s cost-effective DIY marketing workshop is the result of MAPs the firm has created for many individual clients. “The results of those MAPs has been amazing. It’s something every small business should have, so we thought why not create a workshop series that can to do just that,” said Majeski.

The cost of the three-hour workshop is $125 and includes a one-on-one 30 minute post-workshop consultation.
