The Staff of Pinnacle Architecture, Inc. decided to find what it would really be like to be in a wheelchair during the month of April. Each staff member signed themselves up to be in the wheel chair for a 24 hour period, using it at work and at home. They said the experience has opened their eyes to the struggles that are faced when a persons’ mobility is limited. And they now have a better understanding of the importance of designing projects with standards for accessible buildings in mind. This has been a great team building activity for the firm and has helped them to better understand the clients and customers that they design ADA standards for. The wheelchair was provided by Bend Hospice.
